184 đội tranh tài tại hai hạng mục đã mang tới một ngày chủ nhật đầy sôi động và bổ ích.
Tại Việt Nam, đây là năm thứ 7 liên tiếp cuộc thi được tổ chức và đã nhận được sự tham gia nhiệt liệt của đông đảo các cá nhân cũng như tập thể, đặc biệt là những trường đại học, cao đẳng trên cả nước. EMC hướng tới tinh thần đoàn kết, sáng tạo tập thể cũng như nâng cao ý thức bảo vệ môi trường của xã hội.
Đầu tiên phải nói tới chất lượng và thành tích của những đội thi năm nay đã được nâng cao hơn rất nhiều. Những sản phẩm xe tự chế độc đáo của họ khiến khán giả không ít lần phải trầm trồ ngạc nhiên. Tuy cùng tùy biến một động cơ 110cc tiết kiệm nhiên liệu kiểu mới do Honda sản xuất nhưng mọi chiếc xe tham gia cuộc thi đều rất đa dạng và khác biệt. Mỗi đội thi đều có những nét riêng, từ cách thiết kế vỏ xe, kiểu dáng khí động học cho tới phương pháp “độ” động cơ, hộp số và cả tư thế lái nữa.
Trên đường đua, khán giả dễ dàng bắt gặp những chiếc xe có kiểu dáng rất độc đáo, đôi khi còn hơn kỳ cục. Các “tay đua” cũng đủ mọi tư thế: ngồi thẳng, ngồi nghiêng, cúi, nằm hay thậm chí là bò nữa. Thêm vào đó, trọng lượng của người lái cũng là một yếu tố ảnh hưởng tới mức tiêu thụ nhiên liệu của xe, vì thế nên có những đội thi có cả nữ giới cầm lái cho... nhẹ. Tất cả đều nhằm mục đích tối đa hóa hiệu quả hoạt động của xe.
Đội Nhật Bản xuất phát đầu tiên với chiếc xe hình thoi khá lạ mắt.
Đáng tiếc là chiếc xe của đội đã gặp sự cố và phải sớm dừng cuộc đua.
Thành tích tại hạng mục xe tự chế năm nay đã có sự tiến bộ vượt trội so với năm ngoái. Đáng chú ý nhất là mức tiêu thụ nhiên liệu mà nhóm về nhất trong nội bộ Honda là Rambo 2, đạt được: 4029,070 km/lít xăng, một con số không tưởng. Thành tích này không chỉ xác lập kỷ lục mới trong các kỳ EMC tại Việt Nam mà còn là cả EMC Nhật Bản nữa. Đây là một bước tiến lớn so với con số 2109,51 km/lít của đội Cánh Gió dành chiến thắng trong cuộc thi năm trước. Kết quả thực sự là một thành công lớn và đáng tự hào của Honda Việt Nam.
Hạng thi xe thị trường cũng chứng kiến những cuộc so tài nảy lửa không kém gì hạng mục xe tự chế.
Kết quả chung cuộc của hạng mục xe tự chế - Original Type:
- Giải nhất nhóm nội bộ Honda: Rambo 2: 4029,070 km/lít xăng
- Giải nhất nhóm doanh nghiệp: Phoenix 68 (thuộc Công ty TNHH VAP): 1170,608 km/lít xăng
- Giải nhất nhóm sinh viên: đội Super Cup 50 (ĐH Công nghiệp Hà Nội): 2948,936 km/lít xăng
Tại hạng mục xe thị trường – Market Type, các đội thi sẽ thực hiện những cải tiến kỹ thuật cơ bản nhằm đạt được mức tiết kiệm nhiên liệu cao nhất trên các dòng xe Wave và Blade 110cc do Honda Việt Nam sản xuất. Đã có 35 đội tham gia tranh tài tại hạng mục này và kết quả: đội Nhung Hồng 3 trực thuộc Công ty TNHH Nhung Hồng giành giải nhất với thành tích 190,581 km/lít xăng.
Như vậy, hai đội thi sẽ đại diện cho Việt Nam tham dự EMC tổ chức tại Nhật Bản vào tháng 9 tới là Rambo 2 (Honda Việt Nam) và Super Cup 50 (ĐH Công nghiệp Hà Nội).
Cuộc thi Lái xe sinh thái – Tiết kiệm nhiên liệu Honda 2016 đã kết thúc với nhiều thành công đạt được từ công tác tổ chức cho tới những kỷ lục kỹ thuật được phá vỡ.
